A Harris County sheriff’s deputy opened fire at a pair of robbery suspects this afternoon, killing one and seriously wounding the other, after a high speed chase that ended in northwest Houston. GALVESTON — A Galveston man who claimed to be a vampire after being arrested for breaking into a woman’s apartment and biting her was under the influence of the date-rape drug Rohypnol, his attorney said today.
