My new best Facebook friend, Lauren Dunaway, is Double Diamond Resort’s Director of Sales. I was searching for a secluded resort online and randomly found Lauren’s post one of White Bluff Resort’s events.

I made contact and certainly didn’t expect the enthusiasm I received from Lauren. Lauren is one of White Bluff’s ambassadors of fine living. White Bluff certainly delivered on our short stay.

Perched atop beautiful Lake Whitney, located 90 minutes south of Dallas, Texas, you will find beautiful White Bluff Resort. White Bluff Resort is a master planned residential community that has something for everyone, including deluxe accommodations, upscale and casual dining, two championship golf courses, a spa & fitness center, private marina, conference center, swimming pools, tennis courts, fishing lakes, real estate opportunities and much more.

White Bluff is an easy three hour drive from Kilgore through the most beautiful landscape the great state of Texas has to offer.

Heading west on a Friday afternoon knowing that when you arive at your condo, all your worries drift away in the setting sun.

I arrived around 8 pm Friday evening starving and parched from the drive. The Lighthouse Restaurant was just a walk down the drive from our room. The Lighthouse’s menu features great steaks, seafood and traditional Texas entrees.

The ribeye I ordered was cooked a perfect rare with the most succulent asparagus along side. The Shiner Bock I just had to have looking out over the water was ice cold!

Our accomodations had the most spectacular sunset view over the bluffs with the water down below. White Bluff’s Inn is the perfect place to rest your head after a long drive in and a great day on the golf course.

Of course I wanted to profile a golf resort. Lauren made our tee time at a perfect 10am with plenty of time for breakfast.

At The Trophy Grille, home fries and eggs over easy were served up handily just off the first tee.

We teed off on the most beautiful resort style course in Central Texas. Bermuda greens and fairways with four sets of tees for every level.

Golf is not the only ammenity at White Bluff Resort. The first class, private, protected marina offers convenient access to beautiful Lake Whitney. The marina currently has 98 covered boat slips, with plans to add more in the future, and a double-wide boat ramp. Just up the hill from the marina, the Marina Market is stocked with ice, beer, wine, sodas, snacks, fuel and many other items you may need for a full day of fishing, sailing, water skiing or boating. The marina offers private slip rental, your boat will always be ready whenever you are. White Bluff Resort Marina also sells fishing and hunting licenses. Fuel is available at both the dock and marina market 24/7.

For the non-golfers, men and women alike, White Bluff Salon and Fitness offers excellent fitness equipment along with a full-service spa in a setting unique to White Bluff, the Spa offers services, products and an atmosphere that is appealing to both men and women.

With its five private treatment rooms and experienced staff, the full service Spa at White Bluff promises to deliver a truly relaxing experience.
