Debra Medina out ways opponents in supporters
Feb 28th, 2010 | By Brandi Jo | Category: UncategorizedHey all!
I just wanted to share with you some incredibly encouraging and exciting news!
The latest Ethics commission report just came out and lists the numbers of donors to the campaigns over the period of late January until this past Monday.
Perry had 953 donors
Kay had 970 donors
Debra had 5865 donors.
Yes, that’s THREE TIMES the number of donors than the other two combined!!! (And their supporters expect favors in return!)
We also have record numbers of turnout (about THREE TIMES) in the Republican Primary than the last primary – and it’s breaking all the records.
We are sooooo close to winning this outright!
We need to let everyone know that their vote counts and we can send a clear message to the political royal class that Texans have had enough and we want our state back!
Let’s get signs and volunteers at the polling locations on Tuesday. If those locations are at schools, make sure to be there during the peak times – drop off and pick up times for the kids and after work until the polls close.
Let’s get on the phone between now and Tuesday. Personal contact gets more votes than anything else.
I also have some extra white t-shirts. I’d love it if we can get as many of these out to you all as we can. I think it would be really neat to have one at each return watching party and have everyone there sign the shirt and we’ll send them to Debra as a thank you for stepping up and representing us. Another idea I’ve heard is using a Come and Take It flag or something similar.
If you want one for your location, let me know ASAP – I’ll be dropping off some in San Antonio, Austin and possibly up in Waco. If I know early enough, I may be able to bring them out towards the northwestern counties.
I just picked up a full load of signs, push cards, bumper stickers and t-shirts in Wharton. I’ll be driving back through San Marcos today and can drive north/west of Austin tomorrow to drop off materials to anyone who needs it.
We could not have done this without the tireless efforts and help that everyone on this email has given to this campaign. I cannot tell you how much it means to me to have all of you working so well together. Your enthusiasm and dedication has been inspiring to me and everyone else on this campaign. We owe you all a debt of gratitude.
It has been and continues to be my honor and my pleasure to work with all of you.
Yours in Liberty,
Nancy
