The 10 Commandments of Money

Feb 21st, 2010 | By | Category: Money & Politics

These Ten Commandments of Money give you a different perspective on what some of us call ‘the root of all evil’ – little do we know that it is the love of money that is the root of all evil.
Money is what makes the world go ‘round. It does not make anyone better or smarter than another. It does however give some of us more options to achieve our dreams and goals.
The great network marketer, Jim Rohn, once said, “money isn’t everything but its right up there with oxygen.”
The Ten Commandments of Money is something that everyone should take a look at and decide how their families will achieve their dreams and goals.
Commandment #1:  Discipline
The discipline to plan and save accordingly. Stay the course.

Commandment #2:  Direction
You must know where you want to go. Know what you want. If it’s the most money possible then strive to produce the most money not save the most money. If you are not willing to sacrifice the most for your family and future then maybe you need to reevaluate what you really deserve and what you really can accomplish.

Commandment #3:  Knowledge
Attend seminars, study those who are more knowledgeable than you – not Dave Ramsey or Suze Orman. Read Bill Bonner, Ludwig Von Mises, R. Nelson Nash, Carlos Lara.

Commandment #4:  Positive Cash Flow
The key word being FLOW. Spend less than you make. It sounds simple but this is where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
The rich have capital – cash – which gives them the ability to acquire assets that produce an income. A ‘real’ asset is anything that gives you positive cash flow.
The poor have credit and buy stuff. The banks make more money off poor people than any other demographic. Read ‘Becoming Your Own Banker’ for a lesson in what REAL cash flow creates.

Commandment #5: Tax Advantages
Believe it or not, there are financial vehicles and instruments that have huge tax advantages. The best of the best is mutual whole life insurance. It pays a dividend that is not taxable. It pays a death benefit that is not taxable to the policy beneficiaries. It allows you to borrow against the cash value with no tax consequence. And, it is also the safest place to put your money.  The cash value grows tax deferred and if you use an Infinite Banking expert to help you engineer your policies, you can adapt a plan to create capital and use it on a tax free basis.
Commandment #6:  Be Healthy
How many times have you heard your health is your wealth? Why do you think there is a federally mandated health program in the works? Because Americans are fat and sick. What if they were healthy? What if they only needed to have catastrophic coverage like sneaky cancer or type 1 diabetes? The biggest reason Americans go bankrupt is not because their businesses failed, it is because of sky rocket health care costs. Any time the government regulates an industry, you will see prices rise beyond all expectations and then somehow think they have fixed the problem.

Commandment #7:  Positive Spirit
If you don’t believe you will succeed then you won’t – its that simple. Read The Secret – you become what you think about.  Read Think and Grow Rich.

Commandment #8:  Family
Your plan and structure must be focused around your family. It is the only way to combat perpetual poverty and failure. Make sure your wealth, however large or small, can be passed along to your loved ones tax efficient. The government has no right to what you have spent a lifetime building.

Commandment #9:  Stay away from Socialist Government Programs
NEVER, EVER, deposit any of your hard earned money into a “qualified” government program. Do these programs fit with your principles and beliefs? If you are not a believer in the redistribution of wealth through our tax code then maybe you shouldn’t be participating in socialist government programs like 401(k)’s, IRAs, pensions and the like. These vehicles hold the largest pool of untaxed cash – do you think that maybe our government might need a few bucks in the coming years to pay its $12 trillion DEBT?!?!?!

Commandment #10:  Give
Give to your community, your churches, your charities. The people of Haiti need our help to rebuild a better nation. Go to ClintonBushHaitiFund.org now.
